Another bit of Nixon trivia. I enrolled at Gale Institute in Minneapolis in  1948 to learn how to get a job as an agent/telegrapher for a railroad. My  rules instructor was Ron Nixon - he had the walls of his class room covered  with pictures of train wrecks. He pointed out that each picture depicted  either 1. a rules violation, or 2. a situation which led to a change in the  rules.
